The art of providing healing and/or stress relief through the energy channeled through our hands, has been around for many centuries. It’s been called by many different names across various cultures and beliefs. Today, the most commonly used term for it, is called Reiki. Reiki was discovered in 1922 by a man named Mikao Usui. Since his discovery, it has been taught around the world as a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation, that also promotes balance/harmony to the body’s energetic needs.
